The SC/ST Cell advances the constitutional promise of social justice by protecting the rights and interests of students and employees from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Aligned with UGC guidelines and national policy, it works to make equity a lived reality rather than a statutory formality.
Objective
- To ensure faithful implementation of reservation, welfare and safeguard provisions.
- To prevent discrimination and respond decisively to any act of prejudice.
- To provide accessible grievance redressal and mentoring support.
- To enable the academic, professional and social advancement of SC/ST members.
